Cut hearts out of an old tshirt and stitched them to a pair of gloves. Looks like holding a heart when put together! :3

Awhile ago I mentioned a friend’s bridal shower. Here are some pics (of my crafts) from the party!
It was a tea party theme, and martha stewart provided some great inspiration for decor.
The pompoms were made from tissue paper and a pipe cleaner. On Martha Stewart’s page, it says to use 8 sheets of tissue paper, but a lot of the comments said to use more to make it fuller. I think ours had 12-14 sheets each. We also experimented with using different colors of tissue paper for a striped effect.
The party favors were little shortbread cookies wrapped to look like little candies. We first wrapped the cookie in wax paper, a layer of white tissue paper, then the outside colored tissue paper. The ends are twisted like regular candy. Then we placed a piece of lace ribbon over it and tied it down with paper string.

Was cleaning my room the other day, and found these old relics. My old Crayola Color Changeables markers! The color change didn’t really work… and they smelled like death… These were my FAVE markers growing up, so I’m surprised they weren’t completely dried out. haha.
Do they even still make these? I think I saw some “Color Switchers” recently that are maybe the same thing with a different name?

Shortbread Cookies!

Went on a bit of a baking spree and made FOUR batches of shortbread cookies! (Though, to be fair, they are mostly for a friends bridal shower coming up. I’ve also just missed baking a lot lately… :) haha)
From top to bottom:
Orange Blossom Water - Recipe
Rose Water - Recipe
Lemon Poppy Seed - Recipe
Earl Grey - Recipe
Added sprinkles to the Orange Blossom and Rose water to tell them apart. It was actually pretty hard to find Orange Blossom/Rose water and I was kind of getting bummed that I wouldn’t get to try them out, but ended up finding both at Whole Foods! They only came in one size, though… so I guess I’ll be making several more batches of these to use it up. haha.
Some of the recipes have pretty long bake times, but I found that at 350 degrees, the cookies were pretty much done around the 20 minute mark.
a note on the Earl Grey - since the tea leaves are an added dry ingredient, I’d suggest cutting back some of the amount of flour suggested in the recipe. My dough turned out really crumbly and I really had to mash it together to roll it out to use cookie cutters.
